Welcome to
the Western Juniper Home Page

For anyone who has traveled in the Western U.S., the fragrant smell of freshly-crafted western juniper often elicits memories and images of wide-open spaces, sagebrush, big blue skies, leather, wool, horses, and cowboys. Early settlers found that the most durable fenceposts were cut from nearby juniper trees, and many are still solid in the ground after 50 or more years. During winter, the smell of juniper woodstove smoke often is the first indication of nearby ranches or towns.

You'll see here that western juniper is used for far more than fence posts and firewood nowadays. Follow the links to the left to visit manufacturers of western juniper lumber, log homes, rustic furniture, gift items, cabinets, animal bedding, and essential oils.
